Putin, Sberbank CEO to discuss situation in banking sector Friday

MOSCOW, Jul 30 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with biggest bank Sberbank’s CEO German Gref on Friday to discuss the situation in the country’s banking sector, Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

“The president will get engaged with the issues of the banking sector. In particular, his meeting with German Gref will take place,” Peskov said.

“They will, of course, discuss the largest Russian bank in general. Many legal entities are now summarizing results of the first half of the year, and it will be a good reason to exchange opinions on the situation in the banking sector.”
